LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Wawa is planning for an 8th Kentuckiana location.
According to Metro Planning documents, plans were submitted for a location at the former Logan's Restaurant property on Dixie Highway and Kurz Way in Pleasure Ridge Park.
The convenience store will have almost 6,000 square feet of space and 12 gas pumps.
In September 2023, the chain announced several future locations in the Kentuckiana region, including four in Louisville.
The four Louisville locations include:
- 9650 Preston Crossing Boulevard, near Cooper Chapel Road
- 7203 Apple Mill Drive, near the intersection with Outer Loop and Vaughn Mill
- 4213 Bardstown Road, near Fegenbush Lane
- 12415 Taylorsville Road, near the intersection with Sweeney Lane
Wawa is a popular east coast gas station chain known for its cheap eats, hoagies, smoothies, coffee, and friendly staff.
The chain said it plans to open about 40 stores across the Kentucky region over the next 8-10 years.
Construction is already underway on the store's first southern Indiana location on Veterans Parkway in Clarksville.
