LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 15-year-old was hospitalized after being shot in Old Louisville early Saturday morning.
Matthew Sanders, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police, said officers responded on a reported shooting in the area of South 1st Street and Burnett Avenue just after 3:30 a.m.
A man said he shot at a couple of juveniles that were allegedly trying to break into their car.
Police then found a 15-year-old near College Court with a gunshot wound to the leg. The juvenile was taken to UofL Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating.
