LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Indiana State Police have arrested a second person in connection to the September 2022 incident where shots were fired at Clarksville Police Chief Mark Palmer's residence.
On Thursday, an ISP trooper and Clarksville Police arrested 18-year-old James Louis Wall of Clarksville, and charged him with two counts of attempted murder and one count of criminal recklessness. Wall is currently being held in the Clark County Jail.
Last November, 16-year-old Samuel Jaggers was arrested in Floyd County and was also charged with attempted murder and criminal recklessness. He was charged as an adult.
Police responded to Chief Palmer's residence on Sept. 18, 2022 after someone fired several shots into his house. No one was injured.
Jaggers told police he was with a group that was meeting to fight someone at the shooting location. After no one walked out of the house, Jaggers told police he heard someone else, who he wouldn't identify, shoot a gun into the victim's house.
Police said they recovered multiple shell casings at the scene, and found many rounds had hit and entered the house.
