LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 22-year-old from Clark County was charged with rape after an incident at Hanover College, according to Indiana State Police.
ISP said troopers were called to investigate an alleged sexual assault on the campus in southern Indiana in September 2023. According to police, Jackson Kruer, a student from Clarksville, and an adult female student left an on-campus party together in the early morning hours of Sept. 17, 2023.
The students walked to the woman's dorm where she was allegedly sexually assaulted. Kruer then left the dorm and returned to his on-campus residence. Police said the victim immediately reported the assault to campus security.
ISP said at the conclusion of the investigation, the case was presented to the Jefferson County Prosecutor's Office. A warrant for rape was issued for Kruer.
He was arrested on Tuesday in Clark County and taken to the Jefferson County Jail.
