LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A 35-year-old man was identified Monday as the victim of a fatal shooting early Sunday morning near the Highlands.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office said Bryant Johnson died of multiple gunshot wounds just after 4 a.m. Sunday at UofL Hospital downtown.
Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Aaron Ellis said officers responded to a shooting on Bardstown Road at the intersection of Baxter Avenue around 3:30 a.m. When police arrived on scene, they found that two vehicles had crashed into each other.
Police said Johnson was shot in the 1000 block of Bardstown Road and drove a short distance before the crash. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Ellis said the driver of the other vehicle wasn't seriously injured in the crash.
Police don't have any suspects in the shooting or a motive. LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting.
