LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police are investigating after five people were injured in a shooting in the city's Russell neighborhood Friday night.
Officers were called to the 900 block of Esquire Alley, near West Broadway and 9th Street, on a reported shooting around 11 p.m. on a reported shooting, Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Aaron Ellis said.
Once on scene, police found three adult females and one male who had been shot. They were taken UofL Health Hospital in downtown Louisville.
Later, LMPD was alerted that another adult male injured in the same shooting was being treated at Norton Healthcare Downtown before being tranferred to UofL Hospital. All are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating.
