LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A judge on Wednesday set a half-million dollar bond for a 22-year-old Louisville man charged with robbing and sexually assaulting a woman last summer.
Christopher Thompson was arrested on robbery and sodomy charges on Jan. 2.
According to an arrest report, Thompson wore a ski mask and pointed a gun at the victim on Yazoo Street near Valley Station and PRP before robbing and sexually assaulting her in July.
Police said Thompson forced the woman to drive to Sanders Elementary before he sexually assaulted her. He then demanded that she drive to an ATM and withdraw $220. Police said Thompson made the woman return to Sanders Elementary, where she was sexually assaulted again.
Investigators said DNA in the victim's vehicle matched Thompson's DNA.
Thompson's next court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 11.
