LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Lebanon Police Department officers filed felony charges on two daycare workers on Thursday after a 1-year-old child was hospitalized after eating a THC edible.
Paige Wilson and Stella Latham, both teachers at Just be Kids Learning Center in Lebanon, Ind., left out a THC edible within reach of the child, according to LPD officers.
A concerned parent first contacted LPD officers on Jan. 16 after picking their child up from daycare and noticing that he was acting unusually.
The parent drove straight to Peyton Manning Children's Hospital in Indianapolis where he tested positive for THC.
LPD officers went to the daycare the next day and learned upon investigation that Wilson and Latham had "attempted to consume" a THC edible while working.
The two women have been charged with neglect of a dependent, a level 6 felony.
