LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An Indiana man who led police on a short chase that ended in a fiery crash Wednesday afternoon was arrested.
The incident started Wednesday afternoon. According to Indiana State Police Sgt. Carey Huls, a state trooper saw a man driving a white Chevy Blazer with expired tags make an unsafe lane change.
The driver — now identified as 50-year-old Jason Arbuckle — sped off when the trooper tried to pull him over near US 31 and Lewis & Clark Parkway. Arbuckle continued north on US 31 until running a red light and hitting a pickup truck with two people inside at the intersection with US 31, Hamburg Pike and Appleleaf Lane.
The Blazer caught fire after the crash, and Arbuckle had to be pulled out as it was quickly engulfed in flames. The two people in the truck were also pulled from their vehicle because of how close they were to the burning SUV.
Arbuckle and the people in the other pickup truck were taken to UofL Hospital in Louisville, but their injuries aren't considered to be life-threatening.
Arbuckle was arrested after he was released from the hospital.
During the investigation officers discovered Arbuckle was wanted for a parole violation.
He's now facing several felony and misdemeanor charges.
