LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The man who was the target of the police raid in Louisville that killed Breonna Taylor skipped out on yet another court appearance Monday.
Jamarcus Glover and six others were scheduled to be arraigned on charges connected to a drug trafficking ring. Glover was a no-show along with three others, but three of his alleged co-conspirators were in court.
The investigation into the alleged drug ring started in AprilĀ when police were called to the overdose death of a 13-year-old girl at a St. Matthews apartment. According to court documents, Glover lived at the apartment where the girl died. He is not charged in the teen's death.
Glover was arrested Oct. 1 on multiple drug and weapons charges. He and his six co-conspirators are accused of using juveniles under the age of 18 to transport and sell heroin, fentanyl and other illegal drugs. There is still a warrant out for Glover's arrest after he failed to appear in court Oct. 4.
All seven were supposed to be in court Monday, but only Christopher Skinner, Anthony Johnson and Ahrae Marks showed up.
All three were represented by private attorney. All face various drug charges, and all three were released on their own recognizance on the condition they continue to show up for court appearances and don't commit additional crimes.
The remaining four ā Glover along with Kiera Bradley, Kereon Bradley, Ronald Jay Hall ā were not in court. Kiera Bradley is the mother of the girl who overdosed. She and her 18-year-old son, Kereon Bradley, both lived at the home where the girl died.
Kiera Bradley, along with a man in Nebraska and a woman in Owensboro, helped pay a $20,000 bond to help Glover get out of jail following his Oct. 1 arrest.
Jefferson County prosecutors believe Glover ran after a judge issued a warrant for his arrest and set a $100,000 bond for him when he is taken into custody.
Glover was the target of Louisville Metro Police raids at several locations across the city in 2020, including the one where police killed Taylor.
No one is in custody for the alleged drug trafficking ring. The next court date is scheduled for January.
