LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man pleaded not guilty to fatally stabbing a resident of a Louisville retirement community early Wednesday morning.
Kenneth Muse, 73, is charged with murder and appeared in arraignment court Thursday morning. Court records indicate he stabbed Brenda Kemp around 5 a.m. Wednesday at the Friendship House at 960 S. 4th St. in Old Louisville.
Investigators said Muse was staying with Kemp when he allegedly stabbed her. They said he called 911 to confess before running away.
During Thursday's arraignment, the judge ordered a court appointed attorney to defend Muse.
His bond was set at $500,000. He is due back in court on May 24.
