LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — An Adair County, Kentucky, woman has been arrested after police said she tried to get a juvenile to kill her husband.
Elena Bardin, 27, of Columbia, was arrested Wednesday by Kentucky State Police after police said she tried to solicit a minor to kill her husband.
In a news release Friday, KSP said they were contacted by the Adair Juvenile Detention Center in March after the facility conducted a routine search of a juveniles' living area, finding letters and explicit material sent to the him by a teacher assigned to the detention center.
KSP found evidence that Bardin tried to have the juvenile kill her husband, according to the release. Police also said Bardin had illegal sexual contact with the juvenile and sent him "sexually explicit" pictures of herself.
Bardin is charged with solicitation of murder, sexual abuse and distribution of obscene material to a minor. She is being held in the Adair County Jail on a $500,000 cash bond.
