LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A Louisville man was arrested and charged in a shooting last month in the Jacobs neighborhood.

On Saturday, Louisville Police arrested 45-year-old Rondrell Cox, charging him with two counts of assault and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. 

LMPD said on Friday, Dec. 26 they responded to the 3600 block of Manslick Road on a reported shooting, department spokesperson Aaron Ellis said at the time. When officers arrived, they found a woman inside an apartment building, who had been shot. Ellis said the woman was alert and conscious when taken to UofL Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Cox is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections and scheduled to be in arraignment court on Monday.
