LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting last month near Dairy Kastle.
According to court documents, Demetrius Johnson, 35, of Louisville, was arrested Monday for the murder of Jordon Wells on March 30 in the 600 block of Eastern Parkway near Louisville's Saint Joseph neighborhood.
Police said officers responded to the corner of Eastern Parkway and Bradley Avenue just before 5:30 p.m. on March 30. They located Wells, who had been shot, and he was taken to UofL Hospital.
Wells died April 20 after spending weeks in the hospital.
Police said Johnson was seen on surveillance video in the area where Wells was shot.
Johnson is charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. He will be arraigned in court on Tuesday.
