LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man is dead after a shooting in Louisville's Russell neighborhood Friday night.
Officers were called to a home in the 2700 block of Cedar Street around 8:40 p.m. on a reported shooting, Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Sgt. Matt Sanders said in a news release. That's not far from South 26th Street and West Muhammad Ali Boulevard.
Once on scene, police found a man in his 30s with a gunshot wound to the face. Sanders said the shooting happened inside of a home, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
LMPD's Homicide Unit is investigating. Sanders said investigators believe they have the shooter detained and "all parties are accounted for."
No other information was immediately available.
