LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The man convicted of shooting and killing a co-worker at a Shepherdsville food distribution center has learned his sentence.
Corey Rowland pleaded guilty, but mentally ill, to murder and assault in the 2023 fatal shooting of Charles Puckett, Jr.
Rowland shot Puckett and another man at the Gordon Food Services distribution center off Interstate 65 and Cedar Grove Road.
This week, a judge sentenced Rowland to 32 years in prison. Before his sentencing, the court heard from the victim's family, including his 6-year-old son.
"I had a father. I don't have one anymore, because he died," Mitchell Puckett said.
The second victim in the shooting survived.
