LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An man was shot and killed Monday afternoon in an apartment in Louisville's Russell neighborhood, police said.
Louisville Metro Police responded around 1:45 p.m. to reports of a shooting in the 400 block of South 10th Street.
When officers arrived, they cleared nearby residences and found a man who'd been shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said members of the community reported hearing gunshots and contacted authorities.
The victim hadn't been identified as of Monday afternoon.
The Homicide Unit is leading the investigation.
