Man shot at White Castle parking lot on Eastern Parkway, LMPD says

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Louisville Metro Police Department is investigating after a man was found shot several times in the parking lot of the White Castle on Eastern Parkway.

LMPD Fourth Division Officers responded to the shooting at the White Castle near Eastern Parkway and South Shelby Street around 8:30 p.m., department spokeswoman Alicia Smiley said. 

Officers found a man who "had sustained multiple gunshot wounds," in the parking lot, Smiley said. 

The man was "conscious, alert and talking" while being transported to University of Louisville Hospital. His condition was not known. 

LMPD Fourth Division detectives are handling the investigation. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the department's tip line at 574-LMPD.
