LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man was taken to the hospital after being shot near the Highlands early Saturday morning, according to Louisville Metro Police.
LMPD spokesperson Dwight Mitchell said police responded to a shooting in the 900 block of Barret Avenue, near Breckinridge Street, around 3:45 a.m. When police arrived on scene, they found a man who had been shot in the leg.
He was taken to University of Louisville Hospital and is expected to survive.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating the incident.
