NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WDRB) -- Investigators said an argument between two men in New Albany last month ended with them shooting one another.
Floyd County Prosecutor Chris Lane provided an update on the double shooting Monday afternoon.
Brothers Jamie and Trevon Burr and another man, Kimani Stockdale, all face charges for the shooting that happened July 22 on Culbertson Avenue.
According to court documents, a fight between neighbors escalated and all three suspects had guns.
Police said Trevon Burr is seen on video hitting Stockdale in the head with a gun, then Jamie Burr shoot Stockdale several times. Stockdale then fired his gun, hitting Trevon Burr.
"These shots were fired at each other with two individuals getting hit," Lane said Monday. "One bullet allegedly went through a neighbor's home and pierced the outside wall."
Lane said the two men who were shot are still getting medical care.
All three are facing multiple charges, including battery, criminal recklessness and pointing a firearm. Trevon Burr faces an additional charge for use of a firearm.
