LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police are investigating a shooting in the Jacobs neighborhood Monday evening.
About 5:15 p.m., officers with LMPD's Fourth Division responded to a report of a shooting in the 3600 block of Georgetown Circle, near Berry Boulevard, LMPD Spokesperson Aaron Ellis said.
Upon arrival, officers found a man who had been shot in the leg, and they rendered aid until EMS arrived. The man was transported to UofL Hospital with what Ellis said are non-life threatening injuries.
Police believe the man was shot in the area of March Boulevard and Wheatmore Avenue, and went to the 3600 block of Georgetown Circle where officers found him.
This is the same area where on Saturday, a man was shot in the 3600 block of Georgetown Place just before 1:30 p.m. He died at the hospital.
LMPD's Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating, but have no suspects.
