LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a woman was shot early Thursday morning in Louisville's St. Denis neighborhood.

According to LMPD, officers were called to the 5000 block of Kaufman Lane around 1:20 a.m. on a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to University Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

The LMPD Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is leading the investigation. Police said there are currently no known suspects.
