LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) - A Kentucky man is charged with attempted murder of a police officer after an incident Saturday night in Taylor County.
Police arrested 31-year-old Cody Laytart, of Campbellsville. He's accused of shooting a gun from a home near Pops Road and hitting patrol cars — including the sheriff's.
Officers were already investigating reports of someone firing a gun and heard gunshots coming from a nearby home. They then realized that cars had been hit.
Laytart faces a long list of charges, including attempted murder of a police officer, assault and terroristic threatening.
