LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A swim club in Louisville celebrated its 100th anniversary Monday with some of its most decorated swimmers from decades ago.
Lakeside Swim Club is a private facility on 2010 Trevilian Way in the Belknap neighborhood. The club has a historical display set up that features photos, memorabilia and information that is available for daily viewing from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. until July 7.
On Monday, a swimming relay was held featuring women on the 1940s and 1950s relay team. Those swimmers came from across the country to reunite for another swim together.
Diana DiOrio Duggins, who swam backstroke and freestyle, said the relay team won "many times."
"This is awesome, just to get all these people back together is such a joy," she said. "The nostalgia of being back together."
