LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Public Works is cracking down on illegal dumping in the city.
In a Facebook post Thursday, the agency said the drop-off recycling location near the Sun Valley Community Center has recently become a target for illegal dumping, sharing photos of people caught in the act.
The city's Solid Waste Enforcement Team has been on the case. They said the person in the photos posted Thursday had their car impounded. They will have to pay about $1,000 in fines and fees.
Metro Public Works also wants to remind people to use the Recycle Coach app or contact Know Waste Louisville if they aren't sure how to get rid of or dispose of items.
