The city hired consultants to learn how to improve, when winter weather hits. Metro Public Works updated equipment, including eight new dump trucks, 16 new brine tanks and added technology on snow plows.
The city has also improved its snow routes.
"We want to make sure that everyone can travel safely, that our emergency routes remain open, and that our crews have the tools that they need to do their job safely and effectively," Greenberg said at a news conference on Tuesday.
More than 200 people make up the Metro Snow Team. This year, the city is entering the winter season with more than 32,000 tons of salt and more than 100 pieces of snow fighting equipment.
