LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A man is dead after being hit by a car trying to cross a busy Louisville street Tuesday night.
LMPD responded about 11:30 p.m. to Preston Highway and Fern Valley Road, near Liquor Barn and UAW, on a report of an accident with serious injuries, LMPD spokesperson Sgt. Matt Sanders said.Â
Sanders said a man, who was wearing dark clothing, was crossing in the middle of the street, west of Preston Highway, when he was hit by a car. The man was then hit by another car while still in the roadway.Â
Both drivers remained on scene and reported the accident, Sanders said. EMS arrived, and pronounced the man dead at the scene.Â
LMPD's Traffic Unit is investigating.
