LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A large mixed-use development featuring hundreds of new homes, a grocery store and retail space could be coming to southeast Louisville.

According to our partners at Louisville Business First, New Jersey-based Kennedy International Inc. submitted plans for a development at 4700 S. Hurstbourne Parkway that would include 368 residential units made up of apartments and townhomes.

The proposal also includes space for a grocery store, additional retail businesses and community amenities such as pools, a clubhouse and a dog park.

Before the project can move forward, the developer must secure approval for a zoning change that would allow commercial development on part of the property.

Property records show Kennedy International purchased the site in 2021. A timeline for construction has not been announced, and the proposal has not yet been approved.
