LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new driver licensing office is now open in Bardstown.

The temporary Driver Licensing Regional Office in Bardstown has relocated to a new, permanent location. It's now located at 201 Guthrie Drive, Suite C, next to the Nelson County Justice Center and less than two miles from the former temporary office that opened in July 2024.

The new location offers ample lobby space and parking, along with an improved line management system to help reduce wait times, according to a news release Tuesday. The new office will also be focused on customer service, with more staff and technology to make services more efficient.

Customers will also have the option to wait in the lobby or in their vehicle in the parking lot.

The new office will be open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. eastern time.

Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged. Appointments can be scheduled online the new office or any regional office at drive.ky.gov.

The new location is expected to serve about 2,000 Kentuckians each month.

It doesn't currently offer driver testing.
