LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is scheduled to make a campaign stop in Louisville this week on behalf of the Harris-Walz ticket.

Walz is scheduled to arrive at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport around 4:15 p.m. Oct. 23.

He will then deliver remarks at a campaign reception around 5 p.m. on behalf of the Harris Victory Fund, according to a news release from the Harris-Walz campaign. The location of the reception was not disclosed in the news release.

Walz will depart Louisville on Wednesday evening for North Carolina, where he is expected to make a series of campaign stops in Durham, Greenville and Wilmington. He will then travel to Philadelphia on Friday.

Before Vice President Kamala Harris announced her decision to tap Walz as her running mate in August, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear was among the short list of contenders. After Walz was chosen, Beshear pledged his full support.
