LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Veteran's Club is adding equine therapy to help women in uniform.

Sessions are designed for Women Warriors through a partnership with the Kentucky Humane Society. It's for women in the military, veterans, law enforcement officers, EMT, fire service and correctional officers.

The goal is to help them cope with PTSD and life's challenges. Women Warrior sessions include interacting with rescue horses, guided meditation and focus groups.

Women Warriors assist in training and socializing horses to make them more adoptable. The first session is being held from 1-4 p.m. at 4416 Todds Point Road in Simpsonville.

Veteran's Club moved into its new headquarters in St. Matthews on Shelbyville Road in last year.
