LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- People are encouraged to go to the airport to help welcome back Honor Flight heroes to Louisville next week.
Honor Flight Bluegrass is taking Kentucky and Indiana veterans to Washington D.C. to visit war memorials on Tuesday, May 21. This time, 83 veterans of World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam War will fly to Washington D.C. to be honored.
After the full day in Washington D.C., the veterans return to Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport around 9:30 p.m. People are encouraged to bring their family and friends to welcome back the veterans and show gratitude for the heroes.
