LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The westbound lanes of the Sherman Minton Bridge are scheduled to close at 10 p.m. Friday and remain closed throughout the weekend. 

The lanes are scheduled to reopen at 6 a.m. Monday, and drivers are encouraged to detour via Interstates 65 and 265 to get from Louisville to southern Indiana.

The lanes heading to Louisville will remain open.

Then, starting Friday Dec. 8, those eastbound lanes going from New Albany to Louisville will close for 12 days. They should reopen Wednesday, Dec. 20.
