LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A woman died Friday morning after being hit by a car on Fern Valley Road near Interstate 65.
In a news release from LMPD spokesman Dwight Mitchell, he said officers were called around 6:00 a.m. to a crash involving a pedestrian.
The woman was attempting to cross the street when she was hit and was not in a crosswalk, according to Mitchell.
She was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver had minor injuries from the crash.
LMPD's Traffic Unit is handling the investigation.
