TRIMARC reports the crash happened at mile marker 8.6 near the Gene Snyder Freeway in eastern Jefferson County.
The closures will be 8 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Sundays.
RiverLink expects work to be finished by Friday, August 11.
All lanes of Interstate 65 South on the Kennedy Bridge were closed just after 1 p.m. Tuesday when five semi trucks crashed into each other.
The three right lanes will remain open for traffic traveling southbound into Kentucky.
Two northbound lanes of I-65 will remain open, along with all ramps.
Toll rates increase 2.5% each year.
LMPD's First Division was called to the scene at 10:43 p.m. Monday on a reported crash with a fatality.
"Lane closures will begin on the right side of the bridge and transition to the left side by the end of the week," the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) said in a news release.
Tolls are collected on the Interstate 65 Abraham Lincoln Bridge, the I-65 Kennedy Bridge and state routes 265/841 Lewis and Clark Bridge that connects Prospect, Kentucky, and Utica, Indiana.
