The man had been in custody for around 24 hours, according to officials.

Antonio Fox, 35, of Jackson, Mississippi, collapsed inside the cell while officers were speaking to him.

He was pronounced deceased on scene.

An investigation is underway. 

A new report reveals Joshua McLemore sat naked and deteriorating inside his cell at the Jackson County Jail for 20 days with no medical attention before his death.

After finding the inmate, the officer and medical staff "immediately started lifesaving efforts."

Another Louisville Metro Corrections inmate has died, according to a news release. It's the second such death in less than a week.

A corrections officer found the inmate, a man, unresponsive Sunday morning in a housing unit, jail officials said. 

The man was booked into Metro Corrections on Sept. 2 on a Kentucky parole violation warrant.

Leslie Glass of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, claims her son had a seizure and then slowly detoxed to death due to a lack of emergency medical care six days after being taken into custody.
