Former Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel was in court Tuesday for a contempt hearing and the judge lashed out in anger. 

The shooting happened at about 7 p.m. on Muhammad Ali Blvd. near 21st Street, according to Louisville Metro Police. 

Police said video from a gas station at 1st and Jefferson streets showed Sims firing at the victim.

Louisville Metro Police said officers responded to the 6400 block of Kenjoy Drive to check the welfare of a woman. 

He was taken to the Floyd County Jail.

Detectives tried to stop Edison but he fled from them and hit several vehicles as he ran away.

He's being held at the Bullitt County Detention Center.

Thomas Phillips, 29, had been wanted by police since last January.

Jeffersonville Police Maj. Isaac Parker said Thursday the standoff ended around 6:15 p.m.
