The site still has a lot of open appointments in the coming days.

Some feel the plan, which ties lifting restrictions to vaccinations, is another setback.

Gov. Andy Beshear was at the opening on Monday and said vaccinations are key to reopening.

The governor said the hope is to get all adult Kentuckians who want the shot their first dose by the end of May.

Fischer said officials have not made a decision yet about whether they will close the site Tuesday or later in the week.
