New Albany Police responded to the shooting at 325 West 8th Street at 10:06 a.m. Monday.

Police are around the area of State Street and East Main Street in New Albany.
New Albany Police Chief Todd Bailey said the shooting victim was taken to University of Louisville Hospital "as a precaution" for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
It happened around 6 a.m. in the 900 block of E. 8th Street.
Police said this is an active investigation and "an isolated incident" with no danger to the public.
The home in the 1600 block of East Telegraph Hill Road went up in flames Tuesday afternoon.
ISP detectives are investigating.
