Wednesday, the organization and community honored 9-year old Bobby Ellis, who died more than 50 years ago on Thanksgiving Eve in Louisville, vowing no child would ever go hungry again in the city.
"This is not right. Even if you don't feel like that you need to feed grown people, you need to feed these kids."
Feeding America's annual Map the Meal Gap study shows more than 126,000 people are food insecure in the area, including more than 55,000 children.
