The Mega Millions drawing matched all five white ball winning numbers: 3-4-33-36-52 with a Mega Ball of 17.
He told Kentucky Lottery officials that on Monday he got around to checking a stack of about 40 tickets dating back to June.
Monday morning the man was at the Kentucky Lottery headquarters to pick up his winnings.
He told lottery officials he plays the game every evening.
"Winning has made my days a little brighter. I get a chance now to take a breath."
