Despite having a blood alcohol level roughly two times over the legal limit, Terry Henderson was not immediately arrested after crashing into another officer on Sept. 26 while on duty.
It took more than three months before Officer Terry Henderson was charged in January with official misconduct and drunk driving – his third DUI charge since 2019.
It happened around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on southbound I-71 near Pendleton and involved several vehicles, including a tanker truck carrying liquid hydrogen that burst into flames.
Louisville Metro Police said the crash happened around 11:15 p.m. Thursday.

In a citation filed on March 9, Josh Ali told the Lexington Police Department that he was tired and “falling asleep” when he ran into the vehicle in front of him. Ali left the scene of the wreck, according to the citation.
