LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The University of Louisville football team jumped three spots to No. 16 in the latest Associated Press poll after Saturday’s 38-24 win over Boston College. Indiana remained at No. 2 as the top seven teams in the poll remained unchanged.

For Louisville, it’s the highest national ranking since they occupied the No. 15 spot on Sept. 22 of last year.

Three spots was the second-highest jump in this week’s poll, matched by Tennessee, which moved up to No. 14 after a 56-34 win at Kentucky.

Cincinnati, coached by former Louisville coach Scott Satterfield, was the biggest mover in this week’s poll, jumping four spots to No. 17 after a 41-20 victory over Baylor.

Louisville and Indiana are both on the road this week. Louisville visits Virginia Tech, while Indiana is at Maryland.

Ohio State remains No. 1 in the poll with 54 votes. Indiana received 11 first-place votes and Texas A&M, ranked third overall, got one.
