LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The new Norton West Louisville Hospital is set to open its doors in November, and they are partnering up with the Frazier History Museum for a special event.
Renee Murphy joined WDRB Mornings on Wednesday to talk more about the event coming up on April 9.
The event will help promote the new hospital, as well as engage with the community in answering their questions about job positions or what services the hospital will be offering.
The leadership team will be available for people to meet, as well as the construction team that has had a hand on the building.
The hospital is the first hospital to be built in 100 years that is west of 9th Street in Louisville.
Opening in November, it will be located on the corner of 28th and Broadway and bring about 200 positions to the community.
"This hospital is so important because health equity is critical for our community," Murphy said on WDRB Mornings. "This is really a part of a movement to ensure that their is access to healthcare for everyone."
The event is free and will be held at Frazier History Museum on April 9 at 5:30 p.m.
More information can be found on their website, or the new Norton West Louisville Hospital Facebook page.
