LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Spalding University is hosting an event that gives people the opportunity to talk about diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Spalding's Chief Diversity Officer Andrea Bolden joined WDRB Mornings on Tuesday to talk more about the upcoming event and what guests can expect from it.
The Symposium for Inclusive Excellence is Mar. 21 and 22, with events planned for the entirety of each day.
The event serves as a platform for higher education instructors, students, professionals, and JCPS faculty and staff to collaborate and share their ideas.
Participants will be able to listen to 14 different keynote speakers and ask questions, share ideas, and learn about the importance of equity, diversity, and inclusion.
"It's important to have those kinds of conversations so we can apply them in our academic practices and policies," Bolden said on WDRB Mornings.
The event is open to the public and you must register beforehand in order to attend.
You can find the itinerary of events and a link to register on their website.
