LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Bourbon Review recently ranked the best bourbon bars in American, and to no surprise, Louisville has the most of any city in the country!

Seth Thompson, the co-founder of The Bourbon Review, joined WDRB Mornings on Wednesday and explained what it takes to make the list.

Bars need to have a good selection of bourbons with at least 100 bottles sitting on the bar.

"Louisville has an incredible connection with the urban bourbon trail," Thompson said. "With it starting 15 plus years ago, Louisville was really ahead of the game in making bourbon places known in the world."

For anyone who likes to travel, Thompson recommended to visit Jack Rose in Washington, D.C. and Big Star in Chicago. Both made this year's Bourbon Review list.
