LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- With just two days to go until the 2025 Kentucky State Fair gets underway, crews, vendors and contestants are busy setting up and putting finishing touches on their displays.
The fair starts its 11-day run bright and early Thursday morning at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.Ā
Arguably one of the larger parts of the Kentucky State Fair, the livestock building is already filled with thousands of animals already in place. The livestock building brings in crowds of people each year.
For the last several days, hundreds of vendors have been setting up at the Expo Center. Both inside and outside, crews and businesses are busy putting the finishing touches on their displays for the nearly 600,000 people expected to attend the fair.Ā
A fair the size of Kentucky's brings a $13 million boost for Louisville's economy.Ā
A lot of favorites will return this year, including the rides at Thrill Ville, AgLand and Cloverville.Ā

From corn dogs, donut burgers, deep fried Oreos and turkey legs, all of the fan favorites will return this year.Ā
Along with the state fair staples, there's always something new to try.
When it comes to parking, a new way into the fairgrounds may help drivers get there faster.
"We do have gates one, two, four and six open. Gate four is actually brand new, it's renovated and so it has some more traffic lanes coming through to get fairgoers in quicker and more efficiently," said Lexie Ratterman, state fair spokesperson.
Something to keep in mind for families with teenagersākids under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone age 21 or older after 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and all day Friday through Sunday. IDs will be verified at the gate.
