LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An 81-year-old woman died in a Goshen house fire last week.

North Oldham Fire Chief James Sohan said firefighters responded to a house fire on Nightingale Lane at 7:22 a.m. Jan. 22.

Virginia Craven was rescued from the home by firefighters, and no one else was inside. Craven was taken to the hospital but died the next day from smoke inhalation, according to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.

It took 20 firefighters around 20 minutes to control the fire.

Sohan said Oldham County Arson is investigating. Sohan said the cause of the fire hasn't been determined, but it appears to be accidental.
