LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A new restaurant is now open at Colonial Gardens, near Iroquois Park, in Louisville.
A ribbon-cutting celebration was held Wednesday afternoon at Costa del Sol, which means "Coast of the Sun."
According to Colonial Gardens, the restaurant officially opened at the end of December.
The menu features a wide variety of Latin cuisine, with a focus on Mexican and Honduran food.
"If you're interested in international food or anything from South or Central America, also a large seafood menu ... anything from lobsters, clams, crabs, oysters, lots of different fish, whole fish preparation from south of the border, lots of new flavors," said Chad West, a silent partner of the restaurant.
The opening of Costa del Sol comes after a handful of restaurants at Colonial Gardens closed. It replaces the former Taco Luchador.
Colonial Gardens is located at 818 West Kenwood Drive, off New Cut Road.
