LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Fifth Third bank celebrated the grand opening of its NuLu Financial Center and Kentucky Headquarters on Thursday.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held outside the bank on East Jefferson Street in Louisville's NuLu district.

The headquarters moved from South 4th Street in downtown Louisville. Fifth Third said the milestone demonstrates the company's Third's commitment to investing in Kentucky’s future and deepening its roots in Louisville.

Mayor Craig Greenberg attended the ceremony.

"To have a city and to have an urban core that is growing, that is thriving, that is innovative, that is home to really interesting things happening and new ideas taking shape, requires individuals and teams that are willing to take risks, that share a vision for continued urban development and excitement and energy," Greenberg said.

The new location is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
